The Associate Laboratory (AL) CESAM – Centre of Environmental and Marine Studies is a multi- and interdisciplinary research unit with extensive experience in the fields of (eco)toxicology, microbiology, analytical and environmental chemistry, or environmental engineering towards efficient use of all ecological compartments in a global change scenario. CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials (AL) holds an extensive experience in the field of multifunctional coatings, nanotechnology, chemistry, and physics, among others. I3N - Institute of Nanostructures, Nanomodelling and Nanofabrication (AL) covers vast areas of physics and nanotechnology. The Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA) is a research unit focused on sustainable manufacturing solutions and technologies for well-being.
UNIVERSITY OF PARDUBICE

University of Pardubice (UPCE; www.upce.cz) is one of the most dynamic universities in the Czech Republic. The Faculty of Chemical Technology builds on more than seventy years long tradition. One of its essential scientific topics is the development of nanomaterials including coatings and testing of biological effects of developed materials. In contrast, the Faculty of Restoration is the youngest part of UPCE focusing also on the preservation of cultural heritage.

Dublin City University

Dublin City University (DCU; www.dcu.ie) is in the top 50 of world-leading young (under 50 years) universities, often commented as Ireland’s university of enterprise. This reflects the entrepreneurship and investment of the university in spin of companies and connections with industry. The university has state-of-the-art instrumentation in research institutes such as the Institute of Life Sciences, while a hub of scientists work under the umbrella of the Water Institute. The School of Biotechnology has everything required to generate samples concerning exposures of daphnids.
Leda Polymer

Leda Polymer (LEDA; www.leda.pl) is an SME based in central Poland, in Łódź, established in 2016. The main field of expertise is industrial foam production of NIPU-based material, validation, and construction of the prototype for building applications, vertical gardens, and other sectors where biobased polyurethane foam can be applied. Leda Polymer also develops 3D printing technologies, with the use of filament obtained from production waste.
Politecnico di Torino

The Politecnico di Torino (POLITO; www.polito.it), founded in 1906 from the roots of the Technical School for Engineers created in 1859, has a long-standing tradition of leadership of polytechnic culture. In November 2013 POLITO has been acknowledged by the EU Commission for its commitment towards the implementation of the EU Charter for Researchers and a Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers through the 'HR Excellence in Research' award. Synpo

SYNPO (www.synpo.cz) has over 70 years of experience in the area of research and development of polymeric systems. Beside the development of paints, protective coatings, adhesives and casting resins, SYNPO is focused on high performance systems filled with nanomaterials. Team members are experienced in the field of formulating of polymeric systems as well as in treatment of nanofillers. Analysis, evaluation and testing are carried out in accredited laboratories. SYNPO has also an extensive experience in technology transfer; from laboratory through pilot plant to a full commercial scale manufacturing. SYNPO’s tasks include fabrication of masterbatches, composite polymer systems as well as characterization of prepared materials and testing of composite performance in relevant environment.

National University of La Plata (UNLP; www.unlp.edu.ar) is one of the main Universities in Argentina. The Center of Research and Development in Paint Technology (CIDEPINT) is one of the 154 Institutes, Centers, and Laboratories that depend on the UNLP. CIDEPINT has extensive experience in the fields of anticorrosive coatings and antifungal coatings, as well as on coatings deterioration and biodegradation using accelerated, electrochemical, and biological tests.
